Intraoperative monitoring of the spinal nerves enables a preliminar determination of a safe screw position. It can be ensured that the end position of the screw in the vertebral body doesn't affect the course of the nerve.

inomed offers bipolar pedicle stimulation probes for percutaneous pedicle screw placement. The bipolar pedicle stimulation probe is placed through a previously applicated Kirschner wire and so inserted in the pedicle or the vertebral body. After placement, a monopolar or bipolar stimulation can be performed in the vertebral body and the pedicle with a probe.
